Chinny Meat

Brinnon has changed so much just in a short month. She has become this sweet, funny, and smiley little person when she is awake. Her body is much more solid and she can finally hold her head up. Last week she actually giggled when I 'ate' her neck. Must be genetic.

There aren't many times in life that a double chin can be deemed 'cute', but when you are three months old it's absolutely adorable. Isn't it? Hopefully Brinnon won't care I showed this to everyone...I just thought it was great. Also, this first photo is for Auntie Chrysta. Do you see a resemblance to all of my baby/toddler/teenage/adult pictures? Ha Ha!

Swings and Blankets

Before Baby B was born, a girlfriend asked me if I had wanted to borrow her infant swing while she didn't need it. After a month of storing it in B's closet and having very little space, I decided to give it back. Then the time came when little B didn't want to do anything but scream and we couldn't appease her. I talked to another friend about this and they asked, "How does the swing calm her?"

"Swing?" I said. "What swing? Oh, yes, the swing". Immediately I called my friend back who had orginally loaned me the swing and asked for it back. Maybe I had made too quick a decision to rid my house of it and it's necessity. Little B loves the swing and sometimes it is the only thing she wants. On this amazing piece of technology is a rotating mobile of birds and leaves which originally I would not turn on. One day I did and you can see the amazement and excitement on Brinnon's face. You can almost just hear the squeals, ooooooh's and aaaaaah's, if you look at her expressions long enough.

Brinnon also has become a fan of blankies. Her two favorites are ones that Sarah made her and a gray and white stripped blankie that Brit gave her. Here she is 'eating' the one Sarah made her!

Cowboy T.V.

Today my mom gave me a bath, which of course I loved. However, when she removed me from the warm water I started screaming and crying. She couldn't figure out what upset me and also couldn't figure out how to calm me. Amateur. Finally she brought me downstairs and laid me down in front of the fire to dress me. WoW! I stopped crying immediately and gazed at the fire for a long long time!

I found my hand!

Learning to Surrender

Last night I think both Kel and I have finally, after 11 weeks of having a baby, realized we may not be in control of our own lives anymore and might just have to pay attention to needs other than our own. We have tried three times now to 'go out' to our favorite eatery/watering hole despite the mood our daughter currently may be in. Twice now we have had to leave with our sweet 'B' screaming her lungs out with nothing left in our powers to soothe her. Kelly, last night, even had people (i.e. older women) approaching him asking if they could help out the situation. That sure didn't make it better, so he quickly put her in the car seat and left the restaurant...
Slowly we are learning or have now learned that our social lives are changed forever. Brinnon determines our schedules and you know what, that is perfectly okay with both of us. We have learned to surrender.
Here is a video I got this morning after we dropped Dad off at work.
